Unconventional forms of studying the work of Lesya Ukrainka in secondary schools
The article examines non-traditional forms of studying the work of Lesya Ukrainka in secondary schools. Own classification of lessons and extracurricular activities is offered. The author notes that the educational process can be diversified with the following non-traditional lessons: immersion lesson, lesson of one lyrical work, lesson of poetic creativity of students. Since Lesya Ukrainka’s work can be studied not only in class, but also in extracurricular activities, it is proposed to classify extracurricular activities by venue, which aim to involve students in the active study of lyrical works of the poetess: library visits, reading poems in nature, a trip to the museum.
The urgency of the study is due to the need to modernize the didactic ways of considering the poetry of Lesya Ukrainka in primary school. The study of lyrical works causes the greatest difficulties for teachers, because this literary genre is psychologically complex and requires developed feelings,
which are not yet inherent in middle school students. One of the current problems of modern methodological science is the peculiarities of the study of lyrical works in the lessons of Ukrainian literature, which have their own specifics.
The school uses various forms of learning, but the basis of the learning process is a lesson. The lesson of studying Lesya Ukrainka’s lyrical works should be interesting, informative, unique, aimed at forming students’ literary taste and need for poetry. The educational process should be diversified with non-traditional lessons. We offer some new types of classes: immersion lesson, lesson of one lyrical work, lesson of poetic creativity of students. For a holistic and multifaceted understanding of the lyrics, we introduce into the system such a component of methodological dialogue as the contextual study of the work. The principle of dialogism, which we have laid the foundation for, will be realized not only as dialogues «reader-text», «reader-reader», but also as dialogues of a poetic text with a biography of the author, historical epoch, other types of art.
The article did not cover all aspects of the problem. Further development requires the issue of school analysis and interpretation of Lesya Ukrainka’s lyrics, teaching expressive reading of the poet’s poems, studying the writer’s texts in different contexts, etc.
